Richard Gasquet and Andy Roddick have easily reached the second round of the first Grand Slam of the year. The French number one beat Australia's Nick Lindahl in four sets (6-0, 6-1, 3-6, 6-2) while the American outplayed Dlouhy (6-3, 6-4, 7-5).
