Tatiana Golovin has reached the second round of the Sydney tournament, by beating Israël Tzipora Obziler (6-2, 6-3). The Lacoste champion will face Jelena Jankovic in the second round. Camille Pin took one set from the Czech Nicole Vaidisova (6-1, 2-6, 6-2).
