Sébastien Grosjean joined Fabrice Santoro in the quarterfinals of the Auckland tournament. The Lacoste champion beat Spain's Verdasco (6-3, 6-4) and will face Russia's Tursunov, who eliminated Richard Gasquet in the previous round (3-6, 6-3, 6-4).
