A polo is born, long live the polo!

Polo (R)evolution

The year? 1933. The Big Idea? René Lacoste decides to cut the sleeves off his long-sleeved shirt to free up his moves on the tennis court. The polo is born. Its birthplace? Troyes, historic home of French knitwear, where each polo is made with the same care: knit, dyed, cut and embroidered – with 1600 stitches for the crocodile – then assembled by hand. This eye for detail expresses a savoir-faire that is truly unique.
