A Natural Fit for the Polo
An internationally acclaimed French talent, Gasly made history in 2019 as the youngest French driver to reach a Formula 1 podium at the Brazilian Grand Prix. The following year, he secured a landmark victory at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza—marking the first French win in the sport since 1996.
Beyond his achievements on the track, Gasly represents a new generation of athletes for whom sport naturally intersects with culture and style—a mindset that resonates deeply with Lacoste’s DNA. As an ambassador, he will notably embody one of the Maison’s most iconic pieces: the polo shirt.
Pierre Gasly Discovers the Lacoste Polo Factory
It was at the Lacoste Arena flagship that Pierre Gasly experienced the Lacoste Polo Factory.
First stop: the Polo Heritage installation, featuring eight iconic polo shirts that have marked the history of the Maison.
He then discovered the knitting machine, gaining insight into the technical aspects of the polo shirt and its colour palette.
Finally, the new ambassador visited the My Lacoste – Customisation workshop to personalise his own polo shirt from A to Z, before joining his guests at the Polo Wall and enjoying polo-inspired desserts at Café Lacoste.
