What does your typical training routine look like in the pre-season and during the competition season?
Rafael Pagonis: During the pre season I practise about 16 hours tennis and 6-7 hours fitness and 1 hour yoga per week. Usually, the schedule is 3 weeks training and 2 weeks tournaments in a row. While playing at a tournament we focus on specific things I need to work on that week and in fitness is more injury prevention exercises and recovery.
Which part of your routine is most important for performing at your best — before, during, or after training?
Andrea Popovic: Sleep and nutrition play a crucial role in training performance. My routine starts with breakfast two hours before practice, followed by a warm-up about thirty minutes before getting on court. I make sure to stay well hydrated throughout and always finish with stretching.
What are your favourite pieces in the Training collection, and how much does style matter to you—even when you’re training?
Lyoma Hotelier: Personally, I like the training shirts with illustrations because they look cute and fun. In terms of performance, I especially like the ULTRA DRY material because it’s very comfortable in hot weather and dries quickly. Style is important to me even during training. When I wear clothes that I like, it makes me feel good and more motivated. Also, many people tell me that Lacoste looks good on me and that it’s cool, which makes me feel even better.
