For the launch of the Lacoste x Goop collaboration, Aimee Song hosted close family and friends for an intimate dinner at Caviar Kaspia in Los Angeles.

The Lacoste x Goop collection reimagined more traditional styles with new interpretations. Has your own style taken on new interpretations? If so, how?

Absolutely. If I think about any of the pieces that would’ve defined my style years ago, they’re still present in my wardrobe but not quite in the same way. I think of my style as being defined by strong, classic staples that don’t really ever go out of fashion but always allow more space to new interpretations, whether it’s by combining them with more contemporary pieces or just reinventing them completely. Ideally you always want your style to be able to evolve in new directions while remaining true to your spirit.

What are your favorite pieces from the Lacoste x Goop collection and why?

I loved the pique mini skirt, it just looks iconic and contemporary at the same time. The marine zipped sweatshirt would be another favorite, it’s a great mix of classic and modern, and I love a well put together preppy look!

Lots of pieces from this collection are transitional - where can you envision yourself wearing Lacoste x Goop?

I can definitely see myself wearing them on and off court, on the way to practice or when I go for my morning juices. They’re very versatile and I honestly can envision wearing them in any daily situations, including on movie dates to watch the latest Wes Anderson movie!

What is your history with Lacoste?

Growing up I always looked at Lacoste as one of those timeless brands that kind of never go out of fashion! They’re a true classic.
